These frozen homemade dog treats with blueberries are a great mixture of chicken and blueberries that your dog will love.

I have to warn you when making the mix it does not smell the best. But you will not smell it after it is frozen. This makes a great summer dog treat.

To make these treats you will need some silicone molds. I used these paw and bone molds for mine.

Blueberry Dog Treats Ingredients

  • some honey
  • water
  • Fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 2.5 oz Jar of Baby Food Chicken (any brand is fine)

Tools needed

  • Silicone Molds
  • Blender

How to Make Blueberry Dog Treats

Toss all ingredients in a blender. Pulse blend at first to get it mixed up. Then blend until fully blended and smooth.

Items mixed in blender.

Lay the silicone molds on a cookie sheet. If you don’t lay them on a flat surface they bend too much when trying to put them in the freezer and end up making a mess. Trust me on this one.

Pour the chicken blueberry mixture into the molds. I like to leave a little space at the top of the molds to allow for expansion when you freeze them, so don’t fill them right to the top.

Blueberry mixture poured into molds.

Pop the sheet with filled molds into the freezer. Then freeze for at least 3 hours or until fully frozen. I have found for a harder more frozen treat, 6 hours or more actually works best.

How to store frozen blueberry dog treats

You can store frozen blueberry dog treats by removing them from the mold after they are fully frozen. Store them in an airtight freezer-safe container or Ziploc bag. Can be stored for up to 3 months.
