Can Dogs Eat Banana Muffins?

Giving dogs a normal muffin people would eat is not a good idea. While most muffins are not toxic to dogs, if they accidentally ate one, they will be ok but you should not feed them to them on a regular basis.

That is the same reason you don’t want to feed them most people food. There are tons of extra additives, sugar, and fats that are not healthy for dogs to eat.

However, it is ok for dogs to eat dog muffins. They are muffins that are made with dogs in mind cutting out all the extra things that make them unhealthy for dogs.

These dog muffins have ingredients that are healthy for dogs like flaxseed and oats for added fiber.

Can I use green or just turning yellow banana?

The answer is yes and no. While it will not hurt the dog if you used an unripe or just ripe banana, the muffins will not be as good.

That is because we do not add sugar or any other type of sweetener to this recipe. And when a banana is not ripe or just ripening it is nowhere near as sweet as when it is overripe. So your dog may not enjoy them as well.

The other issue you run into if you do not use an overripe banana is it will be dryer. Bananas that are not ripe or just ripening are much dryer in texture, unlike an overripe banana.

So using an overripe banana really works best for this mini banana dog muffins recipe.
