Frequently Asked Questions About This Banana Dog Muffins Recipe:
Q: Can I use a green or just turning yellow banana?
A: The answer is yes and no. While it will not hurt the dog if you used an unripe or just ripe banana, the muffins will not be as good.
That is because we do not add sugar or any other type of sweetener to this recipe. And when a banana is not ripe or just ripening it is nowhere near as sweet as when it is overripe. So your dog may not enjoy them as well.
The other issue you run into if you do not use an overripe banana is they will be dryer.
Bananas that are not ripe or just ripening are much dryer in texture, unlike an overripe banana.
So using an overripe banana really works best for this mini banana dog muffins recipe.
